Hamza Mechergui discovered fashion at the age of twelve, when he was welcomed into ESMOD Tunis. Encouraged by mentors who quickly recognized his talent, he grew up between sketchbooks, draping tables, and the refined eye of his mother, a fashion buyer whose work shaped his taste from childhood.

At eighteen, he created and sold his first couture dress , an early sign of a path already unfolding.

He continued his artistic development by studying Fine Arts before earning a scholarship in Italy, where he immersed himself in the world of fashion management. His years working in Milan, surrounded by its culture of craftsmanship and design, transformed his creative language and sharpened his vision.

In 2025, Hamza Mechergui founded Edit Yam Studio, a premium ready-to-wear eveningwear line. Rooted in Carthage and inspired by Mediterranean culture, the brand celebrates elegance, heritage, and modernity through refined silhouettes and intentional design.
